As we are all continuing to strive to stay healthy during this challenging time, you may have learned from the local news or social media about the extraordinary work that the Tidelands Health team has been doing in response to the coronavirus pandemic affecting our local area.
The nurses and doctors are working tirelessly on the front lines to provide quality care while also ensuring the safety of their patients, families, and our community. Unfortunately, Tidelands Health is facing significant financial challenges due to a lack of regular and normal patient visits and appointments.
Floyd Law Attorney, Collin Jewell, is also a member of the Tidelands Health foundation board, and he is thankful for everyone’s hard work and for each of you doing your part to help support the best possible outcomes by staying home and practicing social distancing. It surely has not been easy for any of us over the last couple of months.
As a community, we have a unique opportunity to continue carrying out the mission to support the important work of our local healthcare providers. The need for quality and compassionate healthcare in our own “backyard” has never been more prevalent than now. In an effort to garner support for Tidelands Health and their COVID-19 relief efforts, a special fund has been created, appropriately called the “Helpers Fund” – a fundraising campaign to raise dollars for some of their greatest needs at this time. The plan is to engage the community through compassion and online donations. Local individuals and business owners can also show support by sharing the need for such funding via social media posts, sending emails, and making calls to potential donors.
We thank all of you for your leadership and support. It truly makes a difference in the health and lives of so many who live and work in our community.
Each donation goes towards everything from masks, food, testing kits, ventilators, and patient beds.
