In November of 2019, The Floyd Law Firm’s Attorney, Collin R. Jewell, was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tidelands Health Foundation Board. Having served on the board with fourteen other directors since 2016, Collin will continue his volunteer role serving the community with the organization.
The Tidelands Health Foundation Board works in support of all of the region’s Tidelands Health locations. With more than 2500 employees, doctors, and volunteers, it has become the area’s largest healthcare service provider. Tidelands Health has four hospitals and more than 60 outpatient locations around Horry and Georgetown counties.
The board, comprised of professional caring individuals volunteering their time, provides guidance and proactive feedback to the overall foundation. The goal is continuous improvement when it comes to patient care, new technologies, medical advancements, and increased access to services.
Executive Director of the Tidelands Health Foundation, Jessica Sasser, stated to the South Strand News that, “Collin has been a valuable member of our Tidelands Health Foundation board for three years and will excel in his new role as chairman. His perspective and knowledge will serve us well as our board continues its important work serving our community.”
Mr. Jewell is also is President of the Board of Directors for Amazing Journey, Inc., President Elect of the Rotary Club of Murrells Inlet, and a member of the bar associations for South Carolina, Horry County, and Georgetown County. As a shareholder of The Floyd Law Firm, his areas of practice include civil litigation, HOA law, criminal defense, and personal injury.
