Attorney Marissa Drost is a graduate of the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Arts focused on Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in the realm of Business Administration. She earned her Juris Doctor at the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, SC. Prior to college, Marissa had always been a quick learner and enjoyed new challenges. Goal-oriented, she set her sights on a career in law when she was just a child. She has reached her goal becoming an attorney – working tirelessly to achieve it – and she has been zealously representing her clients ever since.
During her time in law school, Marissa worked as both a Research Assistant for the University of South Carolina and as a Law Clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee. This extensive background with research allows her to tackle almost any issue head-on and enables her to confidently craft arguments for her clients. Marissa is passionate about every case that comes across her desk and she enjoys the challenges that each new case brings. Legal cases are never just about numbers to her, but about the people involved and their individual stories.
As an attorney at The Floyd Law Firm, Marissa’s experience in criminal defense and personal injury law – as well as the knowledge to manage probate and estate administration proceedings – makes her keen to a full approach of legal services. When she is not working, she loves spending her personal time with her husband while exploring the Grand Strand, enjoying the outdoors, listening to true crime podcasts, and cheering on the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide.
